Is it better to learn website writing first?

I have been working on my website, but writing good content is taking much longer than I expected. A few friends told me about pay someone to website content writing when they needed help with their pages, but I would like to improve my own writing if I can. I sometimes struggle to make my words clear and interesting for visitors. What simple tips, daily practice, or free tools helped you become better at website content writing? I would really like to hear your advice before making any decision. Any help?
